You Get What You Focus On

by Jun 28, 2020Inspiration

So much to do with so little time.  I cannot stay focused enough to complete a task.  You know the feeling.  The feeling of I cannot get anything done, we all had it.   It can be very frustrating.  I remember the lack of focus I had on trying to start my blog website.  I felt I was all over the place.  I didn’t have a strategy in place to accomplish my goals, feeling stuck.  Until I started using a simple strategy like a To-Do-List.  I know right.  But it really, really works to keep you focused on a task.

I used to make excuses for not having enough time, blaming others, not taking full accountability for my lack of focus.  What I’ve learned if you shift the focus on yourself to accomplish your goals.  You will accomplish them.  This will eliminate the if syndrome, how I like to call it.  You get what you focus on.  Hence the title.

Focusing on something requires a lot of concentration, persistence, and dedication.  As I started my journey as a blogger I decided to teach myself how to design a website.  I have spent countless hours learning and researching as much as I can on web designing.  The hard work paid off.  Check out my website!   I have managed to complete the website and now I have published my first blog.

Why did I decide to start my blogging website?  I want to take better control of my life and how I handle things.  I want to focus on things I want to focus on so I can get the result I need.  I decided enough is enough.  I am going to do something I want to do to add value to myself and in the process add value to others too.  I want to take you on my journey so we can learn together.

You may ask what is the benefit of focusing on something.  The simple answer is to get the result you want.  It is to have the feeling of accomplishment, to say it’s done, I have finished the tasks.   You will reap the benefits of focusing on something and completing it.  Focusing on and completing something will make you have a positive outlook that leads to more confidence in yourself.

Another benefit of staying focused is all your efforts will be given to that one thing.  That means 100%. of you giving it all you got.  For example, whatever you were trying to accomplish will now be rewarded, if the goal was to finish writing a book and now it’s done you will reap the reward of getting paid. Ching, ching. Nice.  Focusing grows you on a personal level and financially too.

How do I stay focused?  Glad you ask.  Develop a consistent strategy.  Use a To-Do-List.  A To-Do-List is a great way to start and stay focused.  It provides a plan and guide to remain consistent and accomplished.  Create a To-Do-List.  Just do it!

Focus equals confidence to know you can do it.  Great feeling!  In the process, you may have inspired yourself and perhaps others.  Making someone else feel hopeful is powerful.  Inspiring others is like giving a person wings to fly.  You can make a huge impact in someone’s life by helping them stay focused, a huge boost in their confidence level.

I want to encourage someone today to focus on something that you want to accomplish.  I know you will achieve it by focusing on it.

In the comments section below, write down one thing you want to focus on this week and create a To-Do list. Let us inspire each other.

Top 5 reasons to use a to-do list

1- Helps you to stay focus

2- Helps your brain to highlight key points

3- Helps you to remember things

4- Helps you to be more organized

5- Helps you to do the task

Important tip

Remember to review your To-Do-List to make sure everything is checked off and done upon completing the task.
